I'd probably pick the white/lime or the dark blue/gray one. It's amazing to see that many casing types, but, on the other hand, why so many of them when the umpc is not that available to everyone?

The eo V7110 has a lot of different faces that could be a big market hit if TabletKiosk decides to use them.

I think the dark blue one's the one I would go for.  Second place would be the gray/orange one.

As I think I have stated before I would really like it if they had snap on snap off faceplates like cell phones used to have. I really liked the one with the transparent case but I think it would be cool if you could introduce one with smiley faces on it! :)

The white and lime-green one would make an excellent tie-in with the Xbox360, wouldn't it?  (For all that Media Center goodness.)  The candy-apple red one is certainly dramatic.

Myself, I'd probably go with the metallic blue one, though basic black fits my tastes too.

Personally I'd pick either the lemony / white one (2nd from middle right) or the dark blue / silver model (2nd from top left).

Honestly though the different colors seem to really be saying "toy", but that's just me. I'd be worried that after dropping close to a 1000 bucks on one I wouldn't be taken seriously with it. I think these would appeal to the age group most likely to adorn them with Happy Bunny or Hello Kitty stickers. Really though, if that's your target market then I think these choices are right on track.

Ok, and maybe the black / red one in the bottom middle. :-)

The black & Red one definitely, followed by the silver/gray & orange one. If I could wish one into existence, I'd probably put metallic black & silver together ;-)

I enjoy the lemon and sky-blue. Both have that retro, deco feel which often seems to be ignored in tech design.

Hi all. It is the first time I see such devices and they really look nice!!!
I am not sure if these are PDAs or real small-sized laptops.
Actually I am looking for a mini-laptop where I could easily install ubuntu linux  and I was wondering it if it possible to install linux on those devices.
Has somebody tried this?
Can somebody give me a list of manufacturers and models which I could try?

I'm not sure I like the design overall.  Seems kinda klunky.  The ipod is smooth and has that distinctive round dial that everyone can instantly recognize.  This has a screen.  Big whoop'ed'd'doo.

It might be more interesting with a annodized metallic aluminum cover.  Something that says cool and hi-techy.  This just looks like an old Lisa or somekind of useless blackberry.  It also looks like one of those cheap electronic e-books that holds addresses and phone numbers that anyone can buy off a hook at you local walmart or walgreens.  Someone wrote EtchaSketch.... it is an that... not sure you want that.

or one that i could easily pop the lid off and put a new set of colored faceplates on ... take care of that 'always gets scratches' issue with the ipod ... i could even buy a ruggedized silicon / rubber faceplate ... or a yellow and blue plastic waterproof color that i could take on diving expeditions with me (maybe to work on an excel spreadsheet underwater?  counting fish? i don't know what the heck i'd do with it ... i just know that i want to)

and if i could do that ... i might even start selling personally styled oragami faceplates with things like to logo of my favorite band on em ... or something

think of the smart car in the UK with it's changeable panels ... or if the guy from gorillaz wanted one ... what would he do?

I really don't like these at all... They're big and chunky and that screen looks like it could be broken really easily. They're meant to be serious computing devices but they just look like Gameboys- adults won't buy them because they look childish, children won't buy them because they're meant for adults.
And despite all your promises about easy input through the touchscreen etc etc I can't see why I'd use one of these things- I can listen to music with my iPod and check my email with my phone, and for any bigger tasks requiring a computer I think I'll stick with my laptop.

Actually Chester, it looks pretty usable for adults and also looks pretty sturdy. You also gave me 3 reasons to buy an all-in-one device like this - music, email and common computer tasks. The touch screen is cool... if there are connections for an external mouse and keyboard, I'm sold. Probably either the metallic blue or the lime green/white. And for Crush... uhh... it's not just an MP3 player like the Ill-Pod, of course it's got a large screen - it's a computer after all not just a little toy.

I've never used or seen a Black berry, or a Lisa... And It's time for something more colorful, rather than the dull industrial look of Apple products. Talk about cold, lack-luster, and sterile...

Does anyone know if it has built-in WiFi, or bluetooth?
