kkwee---I ordered on on Wednesday night. Thursday morning my credit card company called to verify and ok the order. I called Costco to be sure all was ok.  They said that my order might or might not be cancelled and there was nothing they could do, just re-order if it was cancelled. It was cancelled by email late in the day--almost 24 hours after ordering.  I re-ordered the next day with a credit card that is less careful about fraud. I am hoping that one holds up. I was on hold for 30 minutes to talk to Costco and found them nice but quite unhelpful and unable to do anything.

Has anyone received their Q1u order from Buy.com yet?  I ordered it from them 5/26, and it is still at "sent to warehouse" status.  I've called Buy.com and they can not give me any shipping estimate.  This is really maddening!

I can't seem to find the Q1U on Costco or BestBuy Website. Is there a special item to search for. I'm trying to get one by next week.

 

slowd if you keep refreshing the Costco.com PDA & Handhelds section there is supposed to be 3 more left to go on sale sometime today. Make sure you pick express shipping.

Also you can do a search for "NP-Q1" (without quotes), and just keep refreshing the page. I use firefox and there is an automatic reload the page option every X number of minutes/seconds.

So the canceled orders were due to the credit card companies? I sometimes get a call from my CC company if there is a high amound charged but usually you just call them back and tell them its ok and then it goes through no problem. Just you might want to make sure you have your shipping address added to your credit card if its different from the billing. That way your CC will automatically approve any orders with that shipping address from now on. Also make sure your credit card company has set to call you on a phone number that you will get the call at the soonest, i use my cell no. which is also added to my CC, because i used to get CC calls at home when im at work all day and then its too late...

Also I don't think Bestbuy.com has the Q1U for sale yet, but Buy.com has them but they are most likely out of stock and can't tell you when they are coming in.

Nope--all that was taken care of. I think if there is any small snafu at all, Costco cancels. And the credit card company ok'd it while on the phone with me and sent it to Costco.

Also note a post on GBM forums and a call to Costco---saying unavailable again now.

I'm not feeling very confident about all this and if I could find it available someplace else I would probably cancel the order. But it is not, so I will wait it out a while longer.

I called Buy.com, and the guy told me they shipped....

Then he yelled "Sike!!!" and hung up the phone.

Seriously, Buy.com told me they would ship sometime next week. They could(would) not give an exact day.

Early this morning Costco did not show the Q1U after having there for the last few days. As per the earlier post, I reckoned they pulled it because they all sold. Right after the post about 3 more left, I checked again and sure enough they were listed again. I ordered mine, got a confirmation number (about 10:15 am), shows processing. Now when I check it has been pulled again. They have pretty good inventory control!

Thanks mvenini, hopefully we can keep watch and someone will throw it up here when buy.com starts shipping. BTW... does yours still say "processing" or did it say "sent to warehouse"?

I ordered from Buy.com yesterday.  Said processing for about an hour, and since then has said Sent to Warehouse.  For all you Costco purchasers, do you purchase from Costco because of availability or no questions asked return policy?  Between slightly higher price ($1999 vs $1963) and sales taxes charged in most states, it would have been about $170 extra to purchase at Costco. 

I received my Q1-Ultra from buy.com today! Still in the box though, un-boxing will have to wait till later this evening!! I can't wait! FYI - I ordered from buy.com on 05.25.2007 with the 7% coupon!

If your order is still showing "Processing," then it means that they are still trying to verify your method of payment. This happens with orders over $500 where the shipping address is different from the billing address. They do it as a matter of CC security.

I had this happen to me as well. I placed my order on 5/27 and it showed "Processing" b/c I was using a different billing address than my shipped address. I sent them an email to confirm my address and my order switched from "Processing" to "Sent to Warehouse" on 5/30.

Usually, if you order something from Buy.com and your shipping/billing information is the same, it will go from "Processing" to "Sent to Warehouse" within 30 minutes.

I've ordered hundreds of times from Buy.com so I'm not particularly worried.
