thats awesome!!  I was getting a little jealous that the Q1's seemed to have more after-market accessories available...  granted it's been out longer, but as a recent owner of the R2H, aftermarket accessories couldn't come soon enough.

Has Mugen indicated how much of an improvement this battery will be over the 6860mAh?

Well, if the original Asus battery is really 6860mAh and the Mugen is really 10000mAh, it should last 45% longer. Comparing with the ~ 1:45 hour I get from my standard 3430mAh battery, the Mugen should last a bit more than 5 hours. Now I hope the price is right...

    Cheers! Stefan.

    Not neccessarily Stefan.
As an example, Lion Battery (Mugen batteries) advertise and liase in a PocketPC forum which I help to run.
One of their batteries is over two thirds greater in power but only gives an extra third.

I'll liaise with Mark at Lion Battery and see if he can provide any further information.

In the meantime, you may find this link:- http://www.lionbattery.com/news.php?nonews=36 of some interest. :)

That's strange. The number of mAh (combined with the voltage, which should be the same for the two batteries) is an amount of energy. If a battery has 2/3 more energy, it should be able to run the device 2/3 longer. If not: where does the rest of the extra energy go? Maybe the battery self-discharges quickly? Does the device use power when not in use?

I'm very curious about Mark's explanation.

    Cheers! Stefan.

I don't blame you wanting such a beast. We have no news yet but it should be available soon. I'll check into it and get back to you later. I can say that the batteries for the Q1 and the T700 are in stock finally! So it shouldn't be too much longer before we have something for the R2H.

The silence is due to the fact that Manfred does not work anymore for Mugen Power (UNIFIRM). And whoever took over probably does not speak English at all. All my contacts with UNIFIRM are broken too. I tested for them many batteries. I found problems in Samsung Q1 batteries, reason why the first batch was delayed, and reason why I did a photo review of them but I never posted back any test results. I sent back to Unifirm those samples to help  them to find where the problem was and fix what was wrong. And I was supposed to get back two new samples to check and write about them. I still waiting for them.

Manfred did a wonderful job introducing Mugen Power Batteries to the world. He participated here and in many other forums of PDA, SP, PPCs and now UMPC. And he was open always to my advices. And I'm happy with the fact that I helped him to find new markets.
