Free Vista upgrade confirmed for Samsung Q1 (if you bought it after the correct date). Samsung is already listed with Microsoft for the upgrade as well. The XP Tablet Edition will be upgraded to the Vista Buisness Edition. I will post more details on when you will actually be able to get the upgrade but I was told it will be just after the Vista launch.

Where did you get this information? Its certainly good news if its true. I contacted icube.us and they could not tell me if there was a free Vista upgrade. I have also mailed Samsung about this but still havent got an answer from them.

Also if you look at MS Express Upgrade web page, Samsung isnt listed as their partners on the free upgrades:

Well, Samsung in Spain, has changed their page a little bit and now it says that Samsung Recommends Vista Business.

That is part of being an early adopter.  Anyone who purchased a system in early-to-mid 2006 expecting to get a free upgrade to Vista would be basically delusional.

Our main reward for being early-adopters is having a UMPC to use for a number of months before the non early-adopters did...

So far the only confirmation that I have seen is what you see in this post which is not any confirmation of any kind. ;)
