Originally placed an order for the Q1U-V with Buy.com. Quickly got a "sent to warehouse" indicator, where it sat. Sent them several emails, and they responded basically saying that it was out of stock and they didn't know when they would get it. Saw on ProVantage that they had two in stock yesterday. Went online to Buy.com to "request cancellation." Placed order with ProVantage yesterday, quickly showed order accepted, sent to warehouse, will send tracking number when they get it and stock decreased to one. Checked their site this morning and it showed FedEx tracking number and, since I requested next day, was already out on the truck for delivery. Meanwhile, more correspondence with Buy.com saying that all they can do is request cancellation from the warehouse, but the item may ship anyway. I ask how can they say that it will ship anyway if they tell me it is out of stock and they don't know when they would get more. All I get from them is form answers. In any event, I saved the email trail in case I have a problem. Based on this, I would suggest checking out the ProVantage site occassionally to see if they have stock, and swoop in to buy if they do. Their stock information from ProVantage does seem to be more real time, although order allocation isn't until they accept the credit card, according to the site.
