Really? I though it was an atenna Stick out tongue [:P]

Well you think it might Be a TV tuner?

Because it looks if the atenna is already there.

On my unit, Q1U-V it is a rubber plug, it will probably hold an antenna for the cellular modem in the Q1-CMV model.

these haven't shipped yet and it may even be awhile as I remember reading that it was to become available weeks after the first ones.

lets hope that's not the case. But i'll expect that it is.

I did read though that someone called Buy.com and they said on the 5th they would have both models. But which 'both models'?

You could call them to verify (i'm not going to do it as I don't care enough to listen to any more misimformation today)

Alright, my (Q1-UV) order from BUY.COM finally went from Processing to "Sent to warehouse". (It's been processing since last week.) Has anyone been on "Sent to warehouse" for a while, or doest that mean that they are getting ready to ship out the rumored second shipment they are supposedly getting in tomorrow?

My Buy.com order for the Q1u 800 has been stuck on "sent to warehouse" for five days now.  And Buy.com won't tell me when they expect to ship my order.  Low price yes, but poor customer support.  I've asked them nicely...is it gonna be a day, a week, a month.  Give me an idea.  Nothing...only that I will get an email with tracking info when it ships. Very lame business practice!

Looks like Costco.com has some more in stock....  I did a search and it came up on the PDA page.

They told me mine should have been shipped yesterday and I ordered on the 1st.  So I hope to have it tomorrow at the lastest.

Buying Experience with Buy.com (not good) and ProVantage (good)

Originally placed an order for the Q1U-V with Buy.com.  Quickly got a "sent to warehouse" indicator, where it sat.  Sent them several emails, and they responded basically saying that it was out of stock and they didn't know when they would get it.  Saw on ProVantage that they had two in stock yesterday.  Went online to Buy.com to "request cancellation."  Placed order with ProVantage yesterday, quickly showed order accepted, sent to warehouse, will send tracking number when they get it and stock decreased to one.  Checked their site this morning and it showed FedEx tracking number and, since I requested next day, was already out on the truck for delivery.  Meanwhile, more correspondence with Buy.com saying that all they can do is request cancellation from the warehouse, but the item may ship anyway.  I ask how can they say that it will ship anyway if they tell me it is out of stock and they don't know when they would get more.  All I get from them is form answers.  In any event, I saved the email trail in case I have a problem.  Based on this, I would suggest checking out the ProVantage site occassionally to see if they have stock, and swoop in to buy if they do.  Their stock information from ProVantage does seem to be more real time, although order allocation isn't until they accept the credit card, according to the site.

Yeah, I've heard not so nice things about buy.com with respect to customer service. Typically good prices, so I guess they have to cut costs somewhere.
