I've just added the ability to "fullscreen" the web browser. It doesn't overlap the top and bottom bars though. I'm working on letting you drag the mouse to scroll like in OE2.

    I just saw this

And the whole, in-line bookmarks/history menu system for OE2.0

I'm definetly cloning the new browsing functionality. Along with adding an auto-hiding media control bar on the bottom

I've changed the fullscreen button to make the IE control occupy the full window. If you want it to occupy the full screen you must have the program itself occupying the full screen.

I've added an auto-hiding bar at the top. It only drops down while the IE control is in full screen mode. It contains a working URL bar, refresh button, media controls (previous track, play/pause, next track) and switch out of full screen button

I just put the media controls in the top bar cause I'm too lazy to add a second bar.

I still have to do the fancy history/bookmarks menus, RSS, etc

Update: Search now works. Clicking it will ask what you want to search for. I had it default to Google. ( Sorry MS :Þ No more Vista-only UMPC stuff ) but if you go to any search engine and search for TEST, then click the search button again. It'll set that to your default search engine (unless it already is, then you'll search for TEST)

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

I've added a new feature. When you click on a text box, my custom on screen keyboard window will pop up and let you enter text. No TIP needed! Of course you could still use the TIP on that form.

I want to do something similar for the TextArea (multi-lined text box) but my current keyboard isn't suited for long text. I'm trying to find API to pull up the TIP until I make a better solution

I'm going to try and add a few more features before uploading the newest version

The OSK also works with password fields. The password will not be obscured though, so observe your own privacy. I can fix this if so desired.

I still need to handle the forward/back dropdown, History/Favorites, and RSS

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

    Progress report:

I have the API in place that allows me to:
-to take screenshots and thumbnails of websites once they finish loading
-keep a history of visited sites

I have the user interface in place that allows users to:
-View sites visted today (today not being June 7 obviously, but the actual current date)

    What I need to do:

    -View History
    -View and add to Favorites
    -RSS functionality

I'll try to have all except the RSS done once I wake up, then I'll post a new version.

Working with the IE control is a pain when MS didn't give me (simple) access to basic interfaces (hwnd, mouse/keyboard events) but I'm making due via extremely complex methods...

    Progress report:

    -View History
    -View Favorites

I'm at work now, I'll add the ability to add favorites once I get home and post the newest version.

Could you guys post some links to sample RSS feeds, and I don't suppose someone could tell me how browsers detect if a site has an RSS feed

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

    Newest Version

You can now add/remove/rename favorites or set them to your homepage
You can also take snapshots of pages
When you click the Star in the auto-hiding browser bar, it brings up your library of Favorites/History/Home pages (both for IE and MH) and later RSS feeds.

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

    Newest Version

The Home folder in the link Library now detects:
    Firefox's homepage
If MobileHome's Online/Offline homepages are set, if they aren't then they won't be shown
Icons for Internet Explorer, Firefox and MobileHome are shown for their respective homepages

You can now search your link Library (History and Favorites) for any site name containing certain text

The Folder icons for the Favorites and History sections now show inside those sections, where previously it only showed in the root

Also, I had to upgrade which MS-provided common controls OCX I used cause the old one started to crash when ever the user clicked an item in the list view.

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

I am joining this thread late.

Neo, it looks like you have done a tremendous amount of work.  Congratulations!

    - Is there a master download site and/or documentation for features, issues other than this thread?  If not, should we post our impressions, questions, comments to this thread?
    - Any idea how many users on XP so far?
    - Has the oragami team given you any indication of how they feel about this project or propsects for making it 'official'?   (Great job in leading the way!)

Apologies if this material is covered elsewhere.
I am planning on trying a version on a Fujitsu Lifebook P1510D running XP at 1024x600.

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

    Thank you!

I tried making a sourceforge page, when I upload it, and try to select the file it shows no files. I'm stuck with mediafire till I find an alternative

If anyone wants, I'm reachable at technisbetas@gmail.com
I have no clue on the amount of users, which would have been nice
The origami team said they were impressed, and politely requested I not copy their logos lol. My bad.

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

I've been busy correcting some major bugs that randomly popped up, that I never had before but suddenly prevented the program from starting for me and someone else here who tipped me off. I'll be uploading a new version in a few minutes

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

First off, great job! This is truly impressive, especially considerining how quick you got this working.

    Second, questions/suggestions:

-Maybe I missed it, but is there a way to manually add album art for a video or music file if it cant be retrieved automatically? I have several videos and albums that dont get the art automatically downloaded for them. Im assuming that its because some of the metadata is missing but i cant figure out how to specify the art to use.

-Also, It would be cool to have a way to display video info when you click it.  For instance, when you click a video thumbnail, instead of playing automatically it could change to display a screen showing the title,  length,  summary, etc.  and other information about the video.

Again, thanks for all the hard work, I know im not the only one who appreciates it.
