Go and let the guys over at Origamiportal know.
They've got a thread going for new Q1 owners too.

We want to see battery life tests!

    prayfawind:

Can someone tell me the voltage for the q1 is please? if it's not asking to much the dimensions and shipping weight, I'm having some shipping problems with CDW

Oh, you too?  *sigh*  My order may or may not be bolluxed... there's an account manager working on it right now, or so I'm told.

If I've missed this window due to a foul-up, though... Hulk smash puny humans.

    Re: Q1 is HERE!!!!!

I would have to say I'm geting at least 2 hours.  I didn't do any elaborate testing like CTitanic did, but I feel I did alright...

    Re: Q1 is HERE!!!!!

Since I'm waiting for my Q1 to arrive I can live vicariously through you guys!  Anyways, you guys running battery tests might want to give NHC (notebook hardware control) a try.  It will allow you to undervolt the CPU which should extend the battery life.  Since Samsung cheaped out on us and gave us a Celery instead of a Pentium M the CPU uses more power and doesn't have the lower power states of the P-M.  Lowering the CPU voltage will help to counteract the crappy CPU power usage.

You can find  NHC at http://www.pbus-167.com/chc.htm

    Re: Q1 is HERE!!!!!

Please, guys, try to run some tests measuring the battery life. The Battery meter life prediction  is tricky.
If I disconnect my eo from power right now it says  that my battery should last 1:40 Mins when in reality it last only 1:25 mins.

    Re: Q1 is HERE!!!!!

Can someone post what it says on the battery.

Either Watt/hours or milliamp/hours and voltage?

    Many thanks
    Steve.

I think he wants you to fully charge the battery then take note of the time of day when you unplug the machine.  Run regular tasks like surfing, word processing, taking notes, etc.  Keep the display at a comfortable brightness (note the brightness level).  If you decide to run with WiFi on I would suggest that you keep WiFi on the entire time. If you want to test with WiFi off do that on a different run.  If you don't need bluetooth I would suggest turning it off.  Keep the unit running continuously until the machine gives you a warning that the battery is about dead.  At that time take a look at the clock and calculate the actual run time.  After a couple charge / discharge cycles you'll get an idea of the actual run time.  You'll also condition the battery for optimum performance.
