I actually ran the eo until is shut itself off... however I was able to power it back on after it shut off. I haven't determined if Windows issues the command to shutdown, if the BIOS issued the shutdown command, or the battery voltage fell off and placed the digital core into reset which powered everything off.

I don't Know for how long, but it was long   enough to boot Windows  and power the unit   back.

The eo battery life thing has been interesting so far.  We have a 40 post thread about it right now on OrigamiPortal and are trying to see if we can use some different software to get from the C2 to C3 power state. (Ctitanic and chippy sure know alot about the processor and batteies)

It may be a bug but I don't think we know yet.

I wonder if the bios does turn it off before the battery gets totally dead.

There is another small coin battery inside the eo that is independant from the large Lithium-ion battery.  My guess is that battery powers the on-board real-time clock and maintains the BIOS settings.  So I guess it is possible that the BIOS shuts the system down at a certain battery charge so that the real-time clock and volatile memory can draw charge off the external battery and not drain the internal battery as much.

I tried and it did not work for me. Somebody else should try it to confirm this.

I really feel for you guys becoz I dont think you will see a driver update or patch anytime soon. I'm positive that the poor battery life is an issue TK & AMTEK have been aware of as it would be part of the standard quality control tests. (It's one of the easiest things to check). If they maintain that they did NOT check the battery life or power drain, I would be seriously concerned about the quality of this device.

I know you guys are early adopters etc but with the kind of life you are getting with the 'eo' (or 'OW!' as it should have been called) dont you think you'd be better off with a refund and a Q1?
