At the risk of sounding cranky, I'd really like to see a well-written text review instead of a video...

Re: Video of Tabletkiosk i7210 ....

Yup. I'll be doing a full text review.

I've just posted the first photo-shoot up at Carrypad.
Over the next few days I need to finish off the Flybook review and then i'll be away with the i7210 for four days. When I come back i'll write the review so it will be at least a week until I can do that. In the meantime, there will be updates on my journal.

    Regards
    Steve.

JKK has just uploaded a video review of the TabletKiosk i7210, one of the most complete UMPC in the market today.

I downloaded and I'm testing it in my work pc. I'll check it in my umpc at home tonight.
I like your video. Very good.
One question, compering it to v7110, this unit is hotter or cooler?
I see that this one plays QT video very well. Could you buy one of the LOST episodes at iTunes and try to play it. the eo v7110 could play the previews but it could not play the actual movie.

Could you post again the link for the key mapping ? That's the one you used in Vista too, no?

    Hi Frank.

Should be fine. It runs a 6.8Mbps WMV9 with no problem.

The v7110 also runs WMV files (even high-bitrate ones) without any trouble.  It is just QuickTime videos that it has a major problem running.

Re: Video of Tabletkiosk i7210 ....

7210 doesn't get  as hot as 7110. it's just warm... not hot like 7110 when pushed to it's limits..

I'll try to compare these 2 in a new video... but not today...

Re: Video of Tabletkiosk i7210 ....

    Hi.

Interesting. The VIA chipset doesn't have any specific Mpeg4 decoding but it might have some mpeg2 stuff that helps

The video in JKK's video was over 6Mbps quicktime so I guess that proves that it doesn't have problems with the codec.  I just played it my i7210 too and its fine. I doubt i'll ever need it as I record all my stuff at 800kbps 320x240 to watch on a pocket PC (mybe i'll be changing that in the near future though!)

I use VLC and zooplayer to play mov movies but still very choppy.
