chippy:Thanks for the feedback on the journal.
Any time, Steve. As you know. (I'm sort of like Donkey in
Shrek: "The trick is gettin' him to
shut up!")
chippy:I think I should have made this clearer in my post as no-one has picked up on it yet.
Arima is a ontract design/manufacturing company like Mobits or Amtek. The name of the device is just a model number. This won't be for sale until someone pays for the production. Its possible that it's already going through this process so we might see it appear at CES branded by someone. This also means that you could see Linux or XP on it.
Or HTC.
So they'll OEM the device for someone else; yes, I see. Well, I must say I'm pretty impressed with the specs, even if I would prefer a device with a weight under, say, 19.5 oz/500 grams. But this still looks like a real good device. I am particularly impressed by the keyboard which, although it looks weird, takes into account the fact that most people will be using only two thumbs to do data entry, and so they've weighted the key placement accordingly. A good job, in my opinion.
Hope we see it at CES, or even sooner.
